LINOCUT WORKSHOP w. Fausto Bottini
The linocut is an old-school printing technique that emerges from xylography but instead of using wood, a linoleum plate is used to carry out the engraving. To make a print, ink is applied to the surface of the prepared block and then transferred under pressure onto paper. The print is a mirror image of the linoleum block we engraved.
During this workshop hosted by visual artist Fausto Bottini, you will learn the art of linography and create your prints by exploring different papers.
From the engraving to the final print, during this 4 hour session, you will learn all the secrets.
Saturday, 20th of April from 13:00 to 17:00
No previous experience is required, you will be guided during the whole process. All materials are included in the ticket:
A block of linoleum
Different papers sheets to create your prints
Used of tools and ink
A special mini-book guide with all the explanations, designed exclusively for this workshop
