Biroul de LucrAri Urgente (Bureau for Urgent Matters)

in collaboration with the Center for Emotional Research

invite you to submit. better yet, don’t submit!

just go on and write something

or finish-polish what you already got.

Inspired by new narrative texTs

their unapologetic writing for themselves,

their aching, teenage-like subjectivity,

and the soft language of poetry

that has been fuelling our core from the start,

we’re making three tiny books*

LOVERS WHO WRITE

TOO MUCH

a shifty HOMAGE to Writers who love too much

book one: you make dating seem easy

submission PERIOD 01.01 - 15.02

BOOK two: kick that ick — muddy romance

submission PERIOD 15.02 - 31.03

BOOK THREE: THE adventure chapter

- who am i this time? post-priori reflections or the mud is still dry

submission PERIOD 01.04 - 15.05

we welcome with tight hugs:

fiction, diary, poetry, essay,

texts that refuse categorizing

form-free storytelling

gentle but rightfully ragey,

overly-emotional, please

your truth and in your voice

*or maybe one tiny (but thick) book in three different chapters

does your mama know you write?

15.02 - 31.03 accepting texts for

<BOOK TWO><KICK THAT ICK!>

oooo, what’s love got to do, got to do with ick?

BOOK TWO: the middle part of something you’re in, the gun from Godard’s quote, the icky bellybutton that’s an end and a beginning, an eternal connection and, alas, an eternal mark of severance. what’s the ick, how did it come about, how long has it been there, how long will you ignore it, or maybe you’re doing something about it?

translated into minor clearspeak, these would be texts about a problem. a love problem. however you define or relate to either of these terms. bonne chance!
