Max Brett is a minor North American writer and systemically important French business executive who lives and works in Paris. The Consequences, which focuses on abandonment and obsession and is published by Ness Books, is his most recent collection of prose and poetry.

The "towering sexual iconography of Mike Immerman" looms over the disorientation of a reluctant resident in “the City of Light.”
