Which of the senses do you use to communicate with nature? How can you describe trans-species companionships in your life? What nurtures you and how can you nurture others? 

These are some of the questions we will be asking one another with the help of Multispecies Reflection Cards developed by nxt and Copenhagen-based Nybrogade Press. Warmed up by these exchanges, we will read Shekufe Tadayoni Heiberg’s Plantae Sapiens (translated from the Danish by Hazel Evans and beautifully published by Guillemot Press, with Anupa Gardner's illustrations, in 2025) – a short story about a woman’s transformation into a tree.
