COLLAGE WORKSHOP

A trash collage workshop with Patti! She will bring old books, magazines, papers as well as a frame for each of you to put your final creation into and take home. Coffee/tea and cookies are part of the arrangement. Tools of the trade (scissors, glue, etc.) will be provided.

You get to cut and paste, rearrange, juxtapose and give yourself to a kind of accidental aesthetics while creating funky pictures!

Feel free to bring your own cutouts or material.

drawing class #8 /sketchbook prompts 2˜+<3

Drawing is primal and straight forward, everybody does it (to some extent) in their lifetime. This workshop is designed to explore and activate that creative impulse to start drawing more, for the sake of the process and expression itself, rather than for a specific result or an aesthetic.

The point is to let loose and try to find yourself through different approaches to drawing.

The workshop is 1 ½ - 2 hours and will play with the idea of a personal/personalized sketchbook, provide diff examples and prompts that can inspire and help with sustaining drawing after the workshop/ accompanied by music + a coffee break:).

Dorota is a visual artist working mostly with drawing and illustrations, but enjoys exploring and using other mediums, such as music mixing/a bit of djing, up-cycling or whatever else that seems fun.

tarot workshop

Once scorned and celebrated, Tarot faced criticism and admiration alike. From being condemned as a dark tool to being hailed as a mysterious revelation, it endured persecution and adoration. Eliphas Levi, French writer, and the author of "Transcendental Magic," when asked which book he would take to prison, declared that it would’ve been a Tarot deck. In Tarot, he believed, lie all the keys to understanding the laws and principles of the universe, and within its cards, one finds stories unmatched by any writer's imagination.

Every time I lay out the Tarot cards, I am amazed by the accuracy of their symbolism. They serve as a starting point for profound discussions about all life’s aspects- beauty, limitations, fears, and anxieties inherent in our existence. These mysterious images inspire honest reflections, discoveries, and transformations.

In this workshop, I want to to share my knowledge and experience with you. Together we will explore the art of tarot reading with hands-on practice, decoding symbolical messages, and mastering tarot spreads. After this workshop, you will be know how to interpret tarot cards, use them as both the meditation or divination tool and learn what it takes to become fluent in Tarot symbolic language.  - Wiola

No prior tarot knowledge required.

The workshop includes:

a networking/open discussion session from 13.00 to 14.00 - optional.

Jewelry workshop (earrings edition)

Things are switching up in the jewelry design world this time around - the focus will be on fine silver (999) earrings or earring charms! aaaand if the weather allows it, part of the process will take place outside, where you can get inspired by nature’s fuss.

What to expect: Arta uses silver metal clay, a material made from recycled silver particles, binder, and water. It can be shaped and textured before firing it, which turns the clay into silver. After an introduction to the clay and jewelry design, you will get the chance to work with it yourself. You will be guided through the whole process, so no experience is necessary! Arta will take the clay creations to her workshop where they will be fired at a high temperature and made into ✰*✰SILVER ✰*wow!*✰

You will receive your handmade piece after one week (pickup at the bookstore).

See you there!

*The price includes all the tools needed for the workshop, plus coffee/tea and snacks.
