What is playful portrait drawing? Well, think croquis with its short timed intervals but instead we’ll be drawing each other’s portraits. And to add a fun twist, with each timed drawing we will explore a different art medium and add a creative constraint - e.g continuous line, non dominant hand, collage and many more. After we’ve loosened up with these quick exercises, you’ll have plenty of time to focus on a portrait in any style of your choice.

All materials will be provided, so just come along with a friend or loved one, or get to know the person sitting opposite you! We’ll be putting perfection aside and instead prioritising the joy of making marks on paper, bringing character and life to our observational drawings and getting in touch with our inquisitive and creative side.
