Join us to hear Carl Olsson talk about geography and the problem of space, the topic of his forthcoming book The Mouth That Eats Itself. A book which is, in his words, a book is for "all those who fight to find a place".

Human geography is the study of how we humans interact with space. The field is multidisciplinary, since it draws on sociology, anthropology, economics, environmental science, and, in Olsson's case, the study of more than just the human species.

Olsson traces the problem of space to the origins and development of geographical thought, arguing that it has become something that now eats away at our freedom. His argument is supported by and made vivid though his examples of how animals such as praying mantises, chameleons, (and more!) also get lost in space.
