Learn how to spin your own yarn! 𖦹 *✧･

Discover or deepen your love for fiber art by learning how to spin yarn, an ancient craft that we still practice today.

In this workshop you will learn the basics. Bella will guide you through the process of prepping the fiber and spinning using a drop spindle (a traditional tool predating the spinning wheel). The workshop includes a spindle for you to use, 50g of hand-dyed roving (bluefaced leicester wool) to spin from, and coffee, tea and snacks. You’ll leave with a skein of handspun yarn to knit, crochet or weave with!

There are two ticket options:

700 DKK you can take your spindle home after the workshop ends

550 DKK you give your spindle back at the end of the workshop (you can try spinning out to see if you like it and pay the difference if you decide you’d like to practice more at home!)

About the host:

Bella is a multidisciplinary artist from New Zealand who works primarily with fiber. She spins and dyes in her apartment in Copenhagen, and has been known to knit and crochet.
